Abbey Friends would like East Lothian Council to re-assess their plans for The Abbey and offer more time to enable the community group to refine its business plan through wider engagement with the local community and raise funding.

We believe the more public support there is to retain the property for community uses the stronger chance there is to influence the council and local councillors.
